As far back as I can remember, art has always been pretty much my life.  I’ve always looked up to my brother, and when he told me at a young age that I was “pretty good”, I’ve always tried to do even better.  Everything I do is art-related, or art involved.    Throughout high school, I’ve completed art survey, 2-d art, 3-d art, painting, and 2 credits of AP Studio Art, and even other art related classes such as stained glass.  After my high school career, I will be attending Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design (MIAD) as a full-time student, majoring in Illustration and possibly taking up a minor in photography.  I also plan to continue with my free-lance jobs as well.

One of my best experiences throughout my art career so far was being fortunate enough to visit the Sistine Chapel.  I was in a trance as I walked under Michelangelo’s amazing work or art.  I was taken away by how real it looked, and how it looked as if the bodies of his paintings were coming out of the wall.  I’d love to be able to paint like him!  Ok, so I’m not expecting to be just like him, but it is what inspired me to be so precise in my paintings and drawings, and try to make them look like they’re real.

Even though I am inspired by Michelangelo for my own works or art, Salvador Dalí is my favorite artist.  I’ve always wanted to paint my dreams like he did!  I love the color that he captured in his paintings.

Right now my concentration for my art portfolio is my portrait in a series of different expressions.  A concentration for art is a study of one subject matter, in many different ways, to perfect that area.  Unfortunately I can’t afford to pay for a model to come sit in front of me day after day, so I have to use myself as a model instead.

Outside of art in school, I’ve done murals in churches and coffee shops within the Milwaukee area, as well as many other businesses.  I’ve even done the design and murals in a coffee shop, which is now open.  It is called Latte Café, located at 13780 W. Greenfield Ave. Brookfield, WI, 53005.

I hope you enjoy my site and artwork!
